Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an Environmental Field Manager to join our team in Port Hope, ON.

The Manager will provide a leadership field role for the Construction & Remediation Group, serving the function of coordinating and interfacing with other Wood E&IS environmental groups to properly staff construction projects being executed by the Construction & Remediation Group. This role will be responsible for coordinating and interfacing with all environmental resources on all active construction projects within the group to ensure consistent delivery and compliance with contract requirements. Responsible for interaction and collaboration with other field construction disciplines (craft field operations, engineering, radiation protection, health and safety, quality, and field management) to solve problems and support execution of construction projects on budget and on schedule.

This position requires extensive (2+ years) hands on field experience implementing and managing a team of field environmental technicians on large construction projects being self - performed by Wood. Key Responsibilities

• Function as a key member of the Construction & Remediation management team and support achievement of the group’s goals through proposal development and project execution
• Coordinate / Communicate as appropriate with Wood project staff (Operations, HSE, QMS, etc.), managers, client representatives and regulators
• Providing guidance and collaborative input to project team during project execution regarding environmental impact mitigation, and compliance / performance of the contract
• Responsible for balancing environmental compliance and implementation on field projects with the company goals and objects of self - performance
• Environmental planning, oversight, permitting, and performance and regulatory / legislative compliance monitoring and evaluation
• Environmental impact assessment, mitigation and avoidance throughout proposal preparation, project planning, design and construction phases
• Implementing environmental policies and BMPs, in the field as part of a self - perform team
• Technical writing - reports, project plans, plan revisions, regulatory / project compliance audit documentation
• Organize and schedule environmental staff for field execution
• Ensure field staff has relevant training and ensure compliance with contractual, provincial and federal training requirements
• Scheduling and Coordinating environmental deliverables with other Wood offices and business groups as part of a multi - discipline project team
