Lamp Rynearson specializes in the planning, development, protection and management of water with a 40-year history serving our dynamic clients and a variety of water resource projects throughout Colorado. We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Water Rights Engineer in our Lakewood, Colorado office, one of our four locations. This position will include the opportunity to preserve and strengthen relationships with long term clients and to support expansion of services for existing clients as well as the geographic reach of clients served by our firm. Desired qualifications include:
BS degree in civil engineering with a focus in water resources, hydrology, watershed science or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
MS degree in agricultural engineering, water resources engineering or hydrology preferred
Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, or ability to obtain registration within six months.
A minimum of 8-years of experience with increasing responsibility.
Broad water resources and water rights experience with strong technical skills in the following areas:
A working knowledge of Colorado water rights and water system administration;
Engineering in support of water rights applications including change cases, augmentation and substitute water supply plans;
Development of technical reports including expert disclosure reports, and technical review of the same;
Proven project manager with the ability to develop proposals, scoping documents, budgets and schedules; and
Water supply planning, surface and groundwater hydrology, surface and ground water modeling, and expert witness testimony experience is desired.
An entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work well with others in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
