The Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth seeks to fill an open rank faculty position (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) in medical imaging science and engineering. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in the science or engineering at the time of position acceptance, in aspects of medical imaging and will lead an externally-funded research program targeting transformational advances in conventional or advanced tools for imaging research. The candidate will be a gifted teacher with motivation and expertise that complements the Thayer School's interdisciplinary approach to engineering education. The successful candidate will contribute to a distinctive research and education program addressing innovative technological challenges in medicine. The Thayer School of Engineering is planning a significant expansion of faculty and programs, and this position will join a large and thriving cluster of medical imaging faculty in joint programs that leverage substantial laboratories and resources at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center including 3T Prisma MRI, 9T animal MRI, two IMRIS surgical imaging suites with CT and MRI on rails, MRI-guided radiotherapy, and substantial radiology, surgery and radiotherapy technology resources.
