Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering and Data Science at Vanderbilt University
Vanderbilt University
Vanderbilt University (VU) Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and the Data Science Institute (DSI) seek candidates to join our productive, diverse, and interdisciplinary tenure-track faculty. Candidates will be core members of Vanderbilt's recently established Data Science Institute, and will be expected to contribute to the research and teaching mission of the institute, to foster research collaborations with existing faculty across academic departments working on data science related topics. We seek candidates who are conducting research that integrates approaches in data science, artificial intelligence and engineering to drive medical or biological discovery. This may include, but is not limited to, computational drug discovery and related computational discovery in systems biology. Collaborative opportunities exist with the Quantitative Systems Biology Center, the Vanderbilt-Ancora partnership in drug discovery, the Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery, the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation (VI4) and the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, a comprehensive NIH cancer center, among other entities. Vanderbilt University has a strong institutional commitment to recruiting and retaining an academically and culturally diverse community of faculty. Minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, and members of other underrepresented groups, in particular, are encouraged to apply. Vanderbilt is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
