Visit Booth 34 at the INFORMS Annual Meeting if you would like to discuss any of these roles.
The Assistant Professor positions require advanced expertise in their fields. One position is focused in the broad areas of health systems engineering/operations research, healthcare data science/analytics, population health, healthcare information technology/systems, and personalized/precision medicine. The other position requires hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing, with special interest in areas such as contemporary additive manufacturing (3D printing), advanced robotics or cobotics, intelligent/flexible production systems, smart manufacturing, and advanced automation and cyber-physical systems. Qualified applicants in other emerging areas of industrial and systems engineering may be considered.
Assistant Professor positions involve: teaching at all levels (undergraduate courses through advanced graduate courses); and establishing externally funded theoretical and applied research in the respective disciplines. The Healthcare Systems Engineering position seeks research experience that complements the Binghamton University Transdisciplinary Areas of Excellence (TAEs: http://www.binghamton.edu/tae/).
