Responsibilities for Quality Manager
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, prioritizing, communicating and implementing the company’s quality strategy and programs. This includes continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and employee training consistent with the company’s quality objectives, processes and overall strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The Quality Manager ensures that manufacturing production lines run smoothly and generate a consistently suitable output for the company
The Quality Manager is in charge of making sure the quality system standard is in compliance with ISO 9001 certification.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hires, trains, schedules and supervises QA/QC staff.
Ensures all quality checks, records, policies, and procedures are performed and recorded by inspectors.
Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
Be a liaison with customers’ auditors and quality teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Participates in the review of new customer opportunities and new products to contribute quality considerations.
Directs the improvement, implementation and maintenance of the quality system.
Revises and updates quality manual.
Develop and conduct internal audits.
Directs company actions to maintain and renew ISO 9001 Certification
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality achievement, and performance improvement throughout the company.
Take the lead in all significant quality issues. Be “hands on" with staff to develop a plan to resolve customer issues. Communicate the plan and the progress to the organization.
Identify relevant quality-related training needs and develop methods to deliver this training
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a science-related field
5 + years of relevant Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment; plastics industry preferred but will consider others with strong Quality Management experience.
5 years Quality Control inspection management (Preferred)
Experience in formal quality systems that meet the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
Extensive knowledge / experience of ISO 9000
Lead or Internal auditor training course completed / certificate
Committed to continuous improvement
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
ASQ, CQE or CQM preferred
