Summary: Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership and management of analytics initiatives within the Center for Analytics Impact. Serves as a thought partner with the Associate Dean of Business Analytics to develop and execute the Center’s strategy. Also collaborates with the Associate Dean of Business Analytics on strategic and operational issues for the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program.
Responsible for implementing the Center’s Strategy
In consultation with the Associate Dean, responsible for managing the budget and annual planning process for the Center.
Collaborate with the Associate Dean with membership development and marketing of the Center, including web content
Oversee and execute all Center Activities such as seminars, conferences, corporate projects and Center membership meetings
Work with the Executive Director of Executive Education to manage the Center’s continuing education offerings.
Work with the Associate Dean and affiliated faculty to support the research mission of the Center
Manage graduate student assistants and other Center and/or Program staff
Collaborates with Associate Dean of Business Analytics to establish annual operating budget for analytics initiatives. Responsible for all required administrative activities (annual planning, budgeting, relevant Faculty Affairs (FA) class requirements, talent management activities for direct reports, etc.) to include ongoing management of required activities for the MSBA program.
Provides support for bi-annual Advisory Board meetings with Corporate Partners
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years’ leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Demonstrates ability to be a self-starter, one who takes initiative and who can work with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally, courteously and effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community, including students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Ability to deal calmly and effectively with others, under sometimes stressful conditions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills; strong command of grammar and English usage in professional business communications, which includes accuracy in proofreading, composing correspondence, editing, and typing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, to handle conflicting pieces of information, and to prioritize as necessary.
Proficiency in technical and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, calendaring software, the Internet and other relevant software or desire and ability to learn quickly.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and records in accordance with state and federal laws and professional ethics; ability to manage and distribute information appropriately.
MBA or Master’s in business-related discipline or higher education administration strongly preferred.
Direct management of any relevant center and program-related staff, and management of the budgets
