Transportation Engineer - Engineering Program Supervisor Hiring Range: $7,702 - $8,502 monthly About the Position: The City of Grand Junction is seeking a Professional Engineer to supervise the Transportation Division of our growing city. The complexity and ongoing modification and updating of our transportation network require someone who is well-versed in transportation engineering and can work as part of a dynamic team. The City offers a 15-step pay plan. The hiring range for a Transportation Engineer is $7,702 - $8,502 per month, which represents steps 1 to 5 of our pay plan. Each year, with the approval of City Council, employees receive an additional step increase of 2.5%. About the Public Works Transportation Division: The mission of the Transportation Division is to plan and manage the improvement and expansion of public transportation infrastructure systems to maintain acceptable levels of service and accommodate future growth. The division works closely with the Street Division as well as the Engineering Division to ensure streets are designed, constructed, and maintained to enable the City to continue to grow gracefully. We have great collaborative relationships with CDOT, Mesa County, surrounding communities, as well the many utility companies, and we enjoy working closely with them on improving infrastructure for our community.
