Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aviation, Transportation, Occupational Health or Industrial Hygiene, Science, Environmental Health Services, Risk Management, Construction Safety Management preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years total credited experience is required.*
Two (2) years of experience in safety within transit, manufacturing, change management, large industrial/manufactureing operations or similar industry is required. Two (2) years of experience in Safety, Light Rail or Heavy Rail transit, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aviation, Transportation, Environmental, Industrial or Occupational Health, or Risk Management Two (2) years of experience in Experience in transit bus and rail construction, civil construction or construction safety preferred.
TSSP - Transit Safety and Security Program (Bus and Rail), preferred within 3 years of hire. ARM, OHST, CHST, STSC, ASP, CSP (Professional Safety Certification), preferred OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction Industry Training, preferred OSHA #510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry, preferred OSHA #500 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction, preferred HAZWOPER Certification, preferred
Requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Or any equivalent combination of training and experience. * The amount of credit a candidate receives for prior years of experience is based on the relevancy of that experience to the required or preferred prerequisites of the job description.
