Moderately difficult, professional technical work responsible for the preparation of design documents for extensions, repairs, modifications and retirements of utility facilities. Reports to the Utility Designer.
Graduation from an accredited technical school or community college with an AA or AS degree in an approved program and four years of satisfactory experience in utility design and drafting in the Electric Utility workspace. Ability to pass basic Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel test with a score of at least 70%. Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and its associated programs. Must have working knowledge of the latest version of AutoCAD; experience in other associated AutoCAD programs like Civil 3D and Revit are a plus. When considering external applicants, a comparable amount of training, education and experience may be substituted in lieu of some of the minimum qualifications.
