The Marshall School of Business invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track position in Operations Management (OM) starting in Fall 2023. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong potential for scholarly research in Operations Management and an interest in teaching. Teaching opportunities are available at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. by Fall 2023 in Operations Management or a related discipline such as Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, or Computer Science.

About USC Marshall School of Business - Data Sciences and Operations
The teaching and research of the Department of Data Sciences and Operations at Marshall (DSO) is comprised primarily of three disciplines: information systems, operations management, and statistics. There are over 40 faculty members in the department who are very active in teaching, research and various professional organizations. Several of the department faculty have received research awards and honors, serve on editorial boards of major journals, and won best teacher awardsThe information systems group offers courses, many with field-based projects, that expose students to emerging technologies, digital transformation, and digital business models, highlighting new ways to transform data into value for the firm and consumer. Operations management coursework, including hands-on projects with industrial partners, shows students how to design businesses that are flexible enough to capitalize on data-driven insights and robust enough to survive the unexpected. Statistics courses teach students to transform "big data" from e-commerce and smart devices into usable insights, competitive analyses, and forecasts. The department is home to two popular master’s programs, Master of Science in Business Analytics and Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management.
