The ARS South East Area is seeking highly qualified candidates for a permanent full-time scientific position. This position affords the opportunity to:
Provide unique and highly specialized skills in identification and evaluation of resistance to preharvest aflatoxin contamination of maize and develop resistant germplasm through classical and molecular breeding.
Advance food and feed safety through interdisciplinary research, breeding and technology transfer.
Work collaboratively as key member of a multidisciplinary team of scientists at the Food and Feed Safety Research Unit and with other ARS locations, industry and stakeholders.
