Northwest Engineering Group is a young engineering firm seeking to expand, with a current focus on underpinning, deep foundation, and other structural solutions. We are looking for a talented and driven Professional Engineer to join our team and help us achieve our goals.

As the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, and calculations of proposed foundation underpinning solutions. A team of junior engineers, in pursuit of professional licensure, will seek your mentorship and guidance in technical and professional aspects to get projects done on time while advancing their applied engineering capabilities. In addition, the team will be responsible for: coordinating with jurisdictional building and permit services; conducting Special Inspections; consulting with homeowners and/or proposing solutions for future residential foundation repair.

Requirements:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Oregon
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s Degree, or greater, in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel regionally
• Willingness to become licensed in Washington, Alaska, California, and Idaho

Desired Experiences/Expectations:

• Experience with underpinning and foundation repair solutions
• Familiarity with geotechnical investigations and testing
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Experience with AutoCAD
